Bees

Bees are among the most useful insects to humans and have been around for millions of years, Bees pollinate flowering plants as well as fruits and vegetables and are called the angels of agriculture, They are one of the most familiar insects in the world.
Bees belong to the insect order Hymenoptera which include other stinging insects like wasp. Bees are best known for making the wonderful thick liquid called honey. Honeybees are a social insect living together in hives that can grow as large as 20,000. Bees have 3 castes.
Queens, whose primary function is to lay eggs, over 1500 per day, and she usually lives about 2 years.
Drones, are males with no stingers, they are the largest bee, their primary function is to mate with the Queen. Only a few hundred drones are in even the largest hives, and they live about eight weeks.
Workers, As the name implies workers do all the tasks needed to maintain the hive. Workers are all sterile females and have a special part on their back legs for holding pollen, an extra stomach for transporting nectar and honey as well as four pairs of special glands to make beeswax.
Honeybees are NOT "killer" bees, Killer bees are honeybees that were crossed with a very aggressive bee species from Africa. Africanized honeybees are much more aggressive at defending their nest and attack in very large numbers,
