What is the best way to treat for termites?
This question has many answers that would be correct. The only way we can accurately answer that is to do a free termite inspection on your home. Following that we will be able to recommend the best termite treatment plan.
How much does termite treatment cost?
Again this varies greatly depending on several factors. A good general range for a full termite treatment would be somewhere between $500 and $1000.
Do I have to sign a long term contract?
No. That is the short answer, we offer 1 time treatments for most types of pest, and we also have an annual pest control option that will cover most common household pest.
What should a homeowner look for when selecting a pest control professional?
There are several things you can do to pick an exterminator, ask your friends or neighbors, and ask a real estate agent or a local mortgage broker. Regardless of how you find one, the nest step is to insure they are licensed and insured, every month Pest Guard Exterminating is called by real estate agents, mortgage companies and home owners to re-treat or fix poorly done work by companies that are no longer in business or that were found to be un-licensed.
What should I know before signing the contract?
Well this has lots of answers, assuming you are sure about the company’s background and ability to perform the work, the number one thing I would say is to read the very small print, especially on the back!
After I hire a pest control service, does that mean I will have a pest free home?
No. we can never guarantee that pest won’t come to visit, but Pest Guard Exterminating will promise that they won’t stay. We will also help educate you in small things you can do to help insure your home stays pest free. We also specialize in pest prevention.
What is the difference between traditional pest control and Pest Guard’s pest prevention?
Tradition pest control relies on the exterminator applying pesticides throughout the home whether needed or not. This is based on the application of pesticides where pest may possible go. Pest Guard uses a two step program, first we will treat specific areas outside the home where the pest tend to live and breed. Then we will treat a broader area around your home to make an invisible boundary. We will only treat inside the home if there is a problem area, and then only that area. This type of pest control program is more effective that a traditional pest control program and also makes more sense.
Why hire a professional Pest Control service?
Pest Management Professionals (PMP’s) are educated and trained to understand the specific pest control problems you may experience. As an example when treating for fleas and cock roaches you need different chemicals as well as very different treatment methods.
